A simple Idea
While professional cliff divers, Eleanor (Ellie) Smart and Owen Weymouth, were traveling around the world for their sport they kept noticing the same problem at every location: plastic pollution. The pair put their heads together and came up with The Clean Cliffs Project. It started with a simple idea, lets keep doing what we love while leaving a positive impact on the environment.

Co-Founder of Clean Cliffs Project
Owen Weymouth, 19, is from Plymouth, England. He started diving at the age of 6 in his hometown and has since achieved 4 national junior titles. At the age of 13, Weymouth decided to turn his attention to professional cliff diving when his dream of making the Olympic games in 10 meter diving was becoming too far fetched. He balanced a 6 day training week with full time education and studied with the ambition of going to medical school. His breakthrough came in 2016 after a very successful amateur season which led to invitations to his first professional events in Red Bull and FINA. He has put University studies on hold to focus on a professional diving career and making “The Clean Cliffs Project” a reality. Weymouth says: “It has been an amazing experience to become a professional athlete and now I cannot wait to develop the project and watch it flourish” |
